Traditional Weaving Meets Modern Designs

Handwoven Homewares & Weaving Workshops

Latest News...

After many hours of blood, sweat and tears (literally!) the studio has had a major rejig to fit in ANOTHER floor loom!

When I had an email to say more floor looms were being sold, this one felt very close to my heart. When I was at Uni, I visited Joan - a lovely lady who lives close to me, who had been Weaving for over 50 years. In her huge barn, she had 10 floor looms which were used regularly by a group of Weavers, the eldest being in their 90s! COVID hit which meant the group stopped meeting and sadly old age has now prevented them getting back together, which meant the time had come for the looms to go.

So with all this history, I could not let the opportunity pass to have another loom so it was coming home to the barn!

This meant a big change round of the studio and this is the result...

Needless to say I LOVE IT and having four floor looms which have been giving a longer life feels pretty damn good.

About Dobby & Rose

Rose is the country barn studio, named after Rebecca's grandmother and built by her husband and late father. Her father also drew the beautiful loom in the logo, representing the heart of the studio.

This cosy workshop is surrounded by farmland where all the magic happens and it sits at the back of Rebecca's home cottage garden waiting for her visitors to explore their creativity.

Dobby is the priceless loom that lives at Rose Studio and is worked very hard by Rebecca on her creative days preparing handcrafted homewares.

The weaving workshops are more than just about the course, it's about the whole experience and Rebecca makes sure you leave relaxed and more insightful about the world of weaving as well as offering refreshments and snacks.

Rebecca's home and studio is located in the countryside where there is plenty to see and do around the area as well as weaving - so it is a perfect getaway if you want to make a short break out of it. She'll be happy to give you advice on local pubs, cafes and activities nearby.
